Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
I hope you are all healthy.
Our church family has lost a wonderful man this week. Tom Reid passed away early Tues. morning at home after a long fight with covid. He will be sooooo missed by so many friends, family, and churches. Mary is doing ok and wants to thank everyone for their kindness and prayers during this trying time. There will be a private graveside service for family only. Later there will be a celebration of Tom's life for those who would like to attend. It will be at the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ and will be when the covid restrictions allow us to gather. Continue praying for his family in their time of grief.
The church has a lot going on in the month of Dec. The Elders have gave the ok for our church to enjoy in the spirit of giving.
The giving tree will be up soon with names of residents from the Waters Nursing Home RS on it. So you can pick one and buy for one of the residents.
The Poinsettia envelopes will be on the table in the foyer this Sunday. Please take one and follow the direction on it. Place it back in the collection plate in the foyer on the table. Your poinsettia for your loved one will be up front soon.
The church is getting Christmas craft and goody bags for each one of the residents at the Waters of RS. They will be able to hang their craft in their window and enjoy the goodies for the holidays.
In the month of Dec. we will also be treating the staff at the Waters of RS. We will be giving them a Subway sandwiches and chips delivered for all of the staff to let them know they are appreciated.
